Adult Education Forum Conversations
In February and March of 2024, members of Atonement gathered during to discuss caring for creation and climate advocacy.
Participants shared four major areas of concern:
Clean Water
Climate Change
Air Quality / Pollution
Deforestation / Planting Trees
We talked about five areas that we can focus on together:
Personal Discipleship – modeling what it means to be a Creation Steward
Education – learning more about how our practices influence others and the environment
Worship – ways prayer and worship can shape a faithful response to caring for creation
Buildings/Grounds – how our use of energy can help reduce consumption and emissions
Public Witness – how our voice can advocate for climate resilience locally and beyond
