At Atonement, our mission is “to connect people with Jesus Christ” and to share God’s love. Our ministries reflect our understanding that we live our life in community; that we need each other as we grow in faith and share God’s grace through Christ Jesus; and in doing so, we make a difference in the lives of others.

We have opportunities for those in all life stages and with different interests to grow in Christ, connect with others, and serve the local and global community.

High School Ministry

High School Ministry is where our young people can openly ask, discuss, and question their faith with our adult leaders. Faith is a complicated thing, and we hope that our young people throughout high school will make their faith their own. We hope what we teach our young people about God and faith will go with them as they go out into the world once they leave high school. We experience God’s love and grace through so many different ways in our high school ministry. Our high school students meet every Sunday where we discuss different Bible stories and see what God has in store for us through conversations and different activities with our adult leaders. We also build community on Sunday mornings, as well as our Sunday evening hang nights. We also experience God’s love through mission trips and doing service work. Our mission trips allow for our young people to get a different experience than they might if they stay around Johnson County. We hope to open our young people up to different experiences and different ways of life to teach them about service and being a neighbor to others.
