1st – 3rd graders

Sunday Morning Education Classes
Children enjoy hearing Bible stories, and putting their hands and minds to work in a variety of activities designed to reinforce the lesson for each class. Our Sunday School runs from 9:45-10:45am most Sundays through mid-May 2022. Please contact Boo McCready for more information.

First Communion
Communion is central to our faith community and the lives of its members. Children and their significant adults are invited to explore God’s gift of Holy Communion together in an interactive, 3-week class during the season of Lent, and led by Pastor Zac and Boo McCready. Please click here for more information.

3rd Grade Bibles
When children are baptized, parents and godparent(s) promise to “place in their child’s hands the Holy Scriptures.” We’d like to help them fulfill that promise by offering a great class for 3rd-graders, and their parents and godparents, where together they will explore God’s word. Click here for more information.

2nd Fridays

2nd Fridays happen on most second Fridays during the school year, and is open to 1st-3rd graders (and friends!). We come together for a meal, games, and faith stuff. Check here for upcoming dates and signups.

YES WAY! Youth Mission Events

For those not familiar with YES WAY!, it was formed a number of years ago for 4th-6th graders to perform mission work during the year. WHY? Kids are creatures of habit. If we can involve them in volunteering consistently as a youth, they will do so the rest of their lives. We’ve expanded the ministry to include 3rd-8th grade students. Questions, please contact Dawn Greer. Watch for our next project, coming in early 2022 – watch the bulletin insert and the eNews for details.

Youth Bells for 2nd Grade through High School
Rehearsals are held in the sanctuary balcony on Sundays, 12:30-1:30pm, September through May. Students will learn the basics of reading music, and ringing handbells and chimes to support worship. They will play once a month for worship, as well as for the 5:00pm service on Christmas Eve. They are included in the Spring Youth Music Mission Trip, and may participate in the all-day “Ring in the Spring” event the first Saturday of March. Please contact Julie Assel with any questions.
