Families with kids of all ages are invited to gather to share a delicious meal and enjoy the company of both our own family and our church family. Our desire for these gatherings is that our children know they are surrounded by others who love them and love God. This evening is also a time for parents and children to learn something new about God, or explore an element of faith a little deeper. We hope to equip parents with tools and resources to have faith-filled conversations at home with your families. If you have questions please contact Dawn Greer, or Joanelle Porter.
Kid’s Day In
We love to play with your kids. RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org by the Wednesday prior to reserve a spot for your kids. You can also get more information by emailing there. Our upcoming dates in 2021 have not been decided yet.
Parent’s Night Out
Need a date night, girls night out, or just want some quiet time? Need to do a few things without your kids? The nursery will be open 6:00-9:00pm on the dates listed below (unless noted otherwise) for your 0-8 year-old children. RSVP to Atonement Nursery. Registering early will ensure there will be a spot for your child(ren). Suggested donation $5/per hour per child.
Easter Egg Hunt
Kids 0-6th grade are invited to the annual Easter Egg Hunt, held on Palm Sunday between services. Plans are for the hunt to be on our Atonement grounds; in case of inclement weather, the activities will be moved inside. AND will you fill a bag of eggs with peanut-free treats, stickers, and toys and return to church the weekend before? Look for the plastic Easter eggs at the church entrances in late February. Thank you!
Vacation Bible School (VBS)
This is a week of a fantastic, fun, faith-filled week for our kids, ages 2 through 6th grade! Together we’ll discover God’s plan and his purpose. And we’ll learn how Jesus works in and through us, and gives us courage and wisdom to help our family, friends and neighbors.
Blessing of the Backpacks
Each August our students are encouraged to bring in their school backpacks for a special blessing during the worship service.
