Ash Wednesday

Lent Mid-Week Services
Wednesdays March 12 – April 9
6:30 PM
Mid-week services will feature a weekly sermon based on the theme Lost and Found by five different preachers:
March 12: Pastor Zac Sturm (Atonement Lutheran)
March 19: Pastor Jealaine Marple (First Lutheran)
March 26: Pastor Micah Sievenpiper (Immanuel Lutheran)
April 2: Bishop Susan Candea
April 9: Pastor Jordan Stone (Atonement Lutheran)
We are delighted that First Lutheran and Immanuel Lutheran congregations will join Atonement for Lent mid-week services.
After each service, we will have refreshments and fellowship in the lobby.

Palm Sunday
Sunday, April 13
8:30 AM (In-Person and Live-Streamed)

Palm Sunday worship begins Holy Week with joyful shouts of "Hosanna!" as we remember Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem, leading us toward his passion and the cross.
(Both worship services will begin in the lobby/narthex and include a palm processional. Between worship services we will have a Palm Sunday Brunch in Charter Hall and and an egg hunt for the kiddos!)

Maundy Thursday
Thursday, April 17
7:30 PM
Maundy Thursday marks the beginning of the Three Days (Triduum), drawing us into Jesus’ journey through death to resurrection. This solemn service includes confession and forgiveness, Holy Communion, and the stripping of the altar, reflecting Christ’s love and sacrifice. Several kids will celebrate their first communion during worship.

Good Friday
Friday, April 18

On Good Friday, we follow Jesus from Pilate’s judgment hall to the cross, reflecting on his sacrifice through Scripture, prayer, and solemn worship remembering Christ’s journey from birth to burial. The sanctuary choir will sing Requiem for the Living during this worship service.

Holy Saturday is the night we pass from darkness to light, celebrating Christ’s resurrection with fire, Scripture, baptism, and joyful feasting. Gathering around a new fire, we proclaim Easter’s promise and go forth aflame with the good news of the Resurrection.
(We will gather in the south parking lot around the firepit to begin worship, weather permitting.)
